The BSD PDA Symposium committee is organizing Future of Research Chicago on October 29th at the Prentice Conference Center in downtown. THE BSD PDA is working together with Northwestern, UIC, Loyola and Rush Universities postdocs.
The first FOR Symposium was first held in Boston last year and led by early career scientists concerned with the current status of research and career prospects in the USA. FOR Chicago is the only Midwest representative in a series of national symposia.
Regional and national leaders in industry, scientific training, and the STEM enterprise will guide a 1-day series of panel discussions and participant-led workshops. The purpose is to work to create a new framework for the future scientific enterprise that embraces PhD-level scientists as highly-trained individuals ready to tackle our nation’s toughest challenges.
