Mentor Training for Postdocs

Postdocs are in a unique position where they are both mentees and often mentors to students in their labs. We will use a curriculum that reflects this dual role available from the University of Wisconsin

The first session on "Maintaining Effective Communication" will be held Nov 22nd 12-1:30p, sign up here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DV3NHCJ

The mentoring sessions will last 1.5 hours once a month Nov- May. Postdocs who complete all 6 sessions over the course of 2 years will receive a completion certificate. The interactive format consists of faciltator-led workshops where participants work through case studies in small group discussions. Each sessionis led by two facilitators who are either faculty, staff, or postdocs who have completed the program and at least one has received training through the UW-Madison Research Mentoring Core.
