Briana Konnick, PhD, Associate Director, Graduate Career Development, will give practical tips and advice on managing the stress that comes with being a postdoc in academia, and will break down what the mental health resources are on campus and how best to utilize them.

February 1st 3:30-5:00 pm – Ethics Seminar for Postdocs
Join Ram Sabaratnam, Graduate Intern in BSD Diversity & Inclusion, for a discussion on microagression, prejudice and bias in academia.
This is a quarterly ethics seminar that fulfills the NIH RCR requirement.

February 15th 4:00-5:00 pm – Grants for International Postdocs
Join Karen Rosenthall, PhD, Director of Fellowships at UChicagoGRAD, to learn about fellowship opportunities that are available for postdocs, who are either U.S. citizens or international scholars.

February 20th 12:30-1:30 pm Tax Seminar for Postdocs
Location: Kersten Physics Teaching Center 106
Do you have questions about how to report your taxes? Angie Gleghorn, Manager of Financial Services and Jennifer Waters, the Director of Financial Operations in Campus and Student Life, will provide a helpful presentation on taxes as they pertain to stipends and financial aid for post-doctoral scholars and fellows. While individual tax advice is not available, this workshop will give you the basics of how to get started on filing your taxes. Please register in GRAD Gargoyle (Events > GRAD Events).
