Who is in charge of the Biological Sciences Division (BSD) postdoctoral affairs?

The BSD Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (PDO), housed in the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs, provides support and services to all Postdoctoral Scholars and Fellows, and has been the home for BSD postdoctoral researchers and the formation and enforcement of postdoc policies since 1999. It is staffed by the Dean and Director of Postdoctoral Affairs, Nancy Schwartz and the administrative Director of Postdoctoral Affairs, Laurie Risner.

The BSD PDO offers Postdoc Orientation sessions, manages the PDA website and weekly email bulletins, and provides support and funding for the Postdoc Seminars and other activities of the Postdoctoral Association (PDA), and oversees all BSD postdoc concerns. See this page for our contact information.

The BSD PDO also handles postdoc appointments, compensation, benefits, and other postdoc policies.
